Overview Applications are invited for a full-time substantive Consultant Histopathologist to join the Cellular Pathology department.
The post is a whole-time Consultant position with 10 programmed activities (PAs) and is based at St.
George's Hospital.
The appointee will be responsible for the provision of Skin and Head and Neck pathology reporting and will work with Consultant colleagues and local managers in the efficient running of the service.
Responsibilities Provide Skin and Head and Neck pathology reporting as part of the department.
Work with Consultant colleagues and local managers to ensure the efficient running of the service and contribute to departmental management.
Participate in the Trust's system of governance and in audit activities; maintain CME/CPD activities.
Commit to professional development and ensure suitability for GMC revalidation.
Observe the Trust's policies and procedures in clinical matters and follow standing orders and financial instructions.
Maintain continuing responsibility for the care of specimens from patients in their charge and oversee the proper functioning of the department.
Undertake administrative duties related to patient care, specimens, and the running of the clinical department.
