Job Overview
The post holder will act as the initial point of contact for patients, visitors and callers to the ward, ensuring their needs are met promptly and politely. They will also assist ward staff in the smooth running of the ward by handling routine administrative aspects.
Responsibilities
- Provide effective and efficient clerical support to patients, visitors and nursing staff.
- Manage routine administrative tasks for the ward, ensuring smooth operations.
- Act as the first point of contact, delivering friendly, timely service.
Qualifications
- Experience in a healthcare environment.
- Computer literate with knowledge of hospital IT systems.
- Strong organisational, communication and computer skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Self‑motivated, adaptable and flexible.
- Excellent customer‑care skills, approachable, and committed to improving patient experience.
- Previous experience working with the public.
- Training will be provided for those with the required background.
