Overview

An exciting opportunity in Corporate Outpatient Services for an inspirational, driven and motivated Outpatient Service Manager to join the operational team and support the Outpatient Central Booking Service at St George's Hospital.

The role supports the deployment of the digital strategy, the development and embedding of new service delivery approaches, and the workforce strategy to deliver service excellence.

The successful candidate will influence one of the country’s highest-profile NHS Trusts and help ensure the efficient and effective day-to-day running of vital outpatient booking services, delivering key quality and performance indicators and driving service improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Outpatient Central Booking Service Team across sites as required, demonstrating flexibility to support operational needs.
  • Ensure the efficient and effective day-to-day running of outpatient booking services and delivery of quality and performance indicators.
  • Champion and implement service improvements to achieve departmental and Trust strategic objectives.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels of the organisation and communicate clearly under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Support the Trust’s digital strategy and contribute to new ways of providing services and optimising workforce use.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience leading a large team and delivering service improvements in an outpatient or similar environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Strong leadership, organisational and change-management capabilities; positive and focused on delivering service excellence.
  • Ability to work across multiple sites and adapt to a multi-site outpatient operation.
  • Strong understanding of NHS operations and performance management within a large complex organisation.
