The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 Β£ per year.

You will have the opportunity to use and develop your skills to work collaboratively with a team of Specialist Speech and Language Therapists and education staff, delivering interventions that meet the needs of children/young people with a variety of speech, language, and communication needs. The Trust is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and expects that all staff will share in this commitment.

The Trust is clear that all staff have a responsibility to be aware of children and adult safeguarding policies and procedures and that each member of staff, clinical and non-clinical, will attend child or adult safeguarding training that is provided at an appropriate level to suit their role. The Trust has the additional expectation that all staff will be able to identify concerns and know what action to take.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver interventions that meet the needs of children/young people with a variety of speech, language and communication needs.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of SLTs and education staff.
  • Identify concerns and know what action to take in safeguarding contexts.
  • Contribute to the development of services and interventions within mainstream schools and resource bases in Wandsworth.
  • Advise on interventions and work as part of a multi-agency team.
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational skills and the ability to work flexibly, under direction and independently where necessary.
Qualifications
  • Have a degree in Speech, Language and Communication Pathology and Therapy recognised by the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists.
  • Be a member of the Health Professionals Council and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
  • Experience of working with children with speech, language and communication needs aged 4-16 years.
  • Understanding of the role of SLTs in community SLT.
  • Work as part of a multi-agency team.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work flexibly, under direction and independently where necessary.
