The Housekeeper role is essential in supporting clinical staff to maintain a clean, safe, well-organised and comfortable environment for patients, service users, staff and visitors, while ensuring consistently high standards of infection prevention and control.

The Housekeeper acts as the first point of contact for domestic staff and is responsible for managing sterile kits, ensuring that all daily, weekly and monthly housekeeping checks are completed. The role also includes effective stock management, including ordering, receiving and storing supplies.

Working closely with the nursing team, the Housekeeper will support the cleaning and restocking of clinical rooms and trolleys and will liaise with other Trust departments, including Procurement, Linen and Catering.
