Responsibilities:

  • Caring for our Head and neck cancer patients and supporting their families.
  • Post surgical management of Tracheostomy, Laryngectomy and Head and neck Flap.
  • End of life care and post chemo radiotherapy symptom control management and care.
  • To manage the Complex discharge pathway and maintain patient flow.
  • Admission, discharge and ongoing daily holistic care to our H&N cancer patients with tracheostomy, Laryngectomy and Major flap.
  • Prioritise the needs and emergency management.
  • Facilitate effective and safe complex H&N discharges by communicating with MDT.
  • Work in collaboration with Trachy & H&N CNS.
  • Take charge of the shift to develop leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Supervise the junior team and students on placement.
