Main duties of the job: The Receptionist is responsible for providing a professional, efficient, and friendly reception service to patients and visitors, both in person and via the telephone. The role is essential to the smooth day‑to‑day running of the practice and requires a high level of confidentiality, accuracy, and customer care in a busy healthcare environment.
- Act as the first point of contact for patients attending or contacting the practice.
- Receive, assist, and direct patients appropriately.
- Book, cancel, and amend appointments using the clinical system.
- Handle patient enquiries sensitively and signpost to the appropriate service or clinician.
- Manage incoming and outgoing telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner.
Administrative Duties:
