We are looking for a proactive and professional Science Technician to support our Science Department. This is a part‑time role of 22.5 hours per week, term time plus 1 week, working across Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
- Work with young people and support the Science Department by assisting teachers, conducting practical sessions, and maintaining laboratory equipment.
- Collaborate with other Technicians and Science Teachers to deliver engaging science education.
Qualifications
- Experience working with young people is desirable.
- An interest in Chemistry, Biology or Physics is required.
- Prior experience in a science teaching/technical role is not essential, as full training will be provided.
Working Hours & Salary
- Contract: Permanent, part‑time.
- Grade: H4 (Basic salary £25,989 to £27,254 per annum plus annual outer fringe allowance of £729).
- Hours: 22.5 hours per week across Monday to Friday, term time plus 1 week.
- Actual Salary: £13,897 to £14,555 per annum inclusive of fringe.
