The governing body and leadership team are seeking committed professionals to join our valued teaching assistant team, supporting teaching staff with the development and educational provision of pupils. Candidates will be excellent practitioners, with proven records in helping to promote excellent learning and outcomes for children.
Job Overview: You’ll be responsible for assisting with planning, preparation and delivery of lesson provision, both on a whole‑class and individual basis, preparing resources to support learning activities as well as ensuring pupils are supported pastorally. You’ll contribute to evaluating student progress and provide feedback to the class teacher to ensure all students’ learning needs are being met.
Qualifications:
- A deep understanding of and passion for high‑quality education.
- A commitment to inclusion and SEND support that enables children to learn well and thrive as learners.
- A commitment to professional learning and development (All TAs have at least 50 hours of CPD a year as part of their directed time).
- Experience of supporting high‑quality classroom teaching, including phonics and mastery‑based mathematics.
- Understanding of how to promote high‑quality oracy and language.
- Positive behaviour management.
- Ability to develop good relationships with children, colleagues and parents.
- Understanding of how to apply positive behaviour management approaches.
- Ability to work constructively as part of a team.
- Willingness to show initiative and apply common sense.
- Qualifications at TA2 level or above or a willingness to undertake this on appointment.
