The Role
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Nursery Cook to join our team. This is a key role where you’ll ensure children are provided with balanced meals and snacks that meet dietary needs.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and cook daily meals and snacks for children across the nursery.
- Cater for all dietary requirements, allergies, and cultural preferences.
- Ensure the highest standards of food hygiene and safety are maintained at all times.
- Keep accurate kitchen records, stock checks, and temperature logs.
- Work closely with the Nursery Manager to create seasonal menus that are healthy, appealing, and fun for children.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Food Hygiene certificate (Level 2 or higher).
- Previous experience in catering, ideally in a childcare, school, or care setting.
- Knowledge of allergens and safe food storage.
- Good organisational skills and ability to work independently.
- A genuine passion for children’s health and nutrition.
Hours & Pay
Part Time (25 hours per week) Salary: £12.40 per hour
