A Role Built Around Children, People & Practice (Minimal Admin – No Business Management)

If you’re happiest on the floor with the children, supporting your team, and bringing early years magic to life — this role was made for you. We’re looking for a caring, confident Early Years Practice & Quality Manager who wants to spend their days doing what they love: being in the rooms, building relationships, modelling great practice, and helping staff feel inspired and supported. There is some essential admin linked to quality and compliance, but this role is not responsible for the business side of running the nursery. You’ll be supported by a dedicated Business Manager, and while you may occasionally help during annual leave, you’ll always have a whole team of managers around you. This is a role for someone who wants to make a real difference — not sit behind a desk.

About the Role

  • Lead, support, and inspire our early years team day-to-day
  • Create a warm, positive, and inclusive environment for children, families, and staff
  • Champion high-quality early years practice in line with the EYFS
  • Support staff development, wellbeing, and confidence
  • Work closely with the team to ensure children thrive emotionally, socially, and developmentally

About You

  • A qualified early years professional (Level 3 minimum)
  • An experienced room leader, deputy manager, or manager ready to focus on leadership and practice
  • Warm, approachable, and supportive — someone who leads with kindness
  • Passionate about early childhood education and nurturing young minds
  • Confident in mentoring and motivating a team

Working Pattern

Flexible working options 4 or 5 days per week. We value work–life balance and will discuss days and hours to suit the right candidate.

Why Join Us?

  • A truly child- and staff-centred nursery
  • Supportive leadership and a close-knit team
  • Time and space to focus on quality practice, not paperwork
  • A welcoming, happy environment where your leadership will be valued

If you’re looking for a role where you can lead with heart, feel supported, and enjoy coming to work each day, we would love to hear from you. Apply now and come and be part of something special.
