A flexible and high-calibre salaried GP to join our team, who has enthusiasm, energy and a shared commitment to develop the practice, with fresh ideas. Passionate about being the best GP and working together with the practice team to advance the practice. Willingness to participate fully in all aspects of surgery life including on-call arrangements. 5 sessions per week across Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Start date July 2026.
Main duties of the job
As a member of the Practice Clinical Team you will provide primary healthcare services to patients in all required environments. You will be expected to participate in Practice activities including clinical and staff meetings, audits, and relevant CPD activities; you will also take a role in the development of the Practice. In addition, you will be expected to participate in the Practice's activities relating to its function as a training practice.
Daily Clinical Responsibilities:
You will be expected to undertake consultations in all clinical settings as directed during your paid clinical time. These consultations will cover the breadth of the Practice's GMS and network obligations and you will be expected to support the Partners in providing such services as outlined in the GMS Contract and any national, directed or local enhanced services agreed with the ICB or any successor body. You will be required to share the daily responsibility of checking and signing prescription requests, dealing with patient queries and providing clinical supervision to the trainees in place at the Practice. You will be expected to support and input into the aims of the Practice in areas including clinical governance, best practice, clinical audits and any other improvement activity as determined by the Practice.

We are a large, well-established and thriving teaching Practice seeking to appoint a salaried GP to join our friendly team on a 12 month fixed term maternity cover contract. The right candidate will be an enthusiastic and motivated doctor with an interest in enhancing our team and providing high quality, patient-centred care. We are based in New Brighton, Wirral, close to Liverpool and Chester. We have 6 partners, 3 salaried GPs, ANP, Practice nurse team, HCAs, phlebotomist and supportive reception, admin and medicines team and we work alongside other roles attached to our PCN.
Eligibility
Eligibility to work in the UK, full GMC registration, placement on the Medical Performers List, membership of a recognised medical indemnity organisation, two satisfactory references and clear DBS certification are essential conditions of employment.

Qualifications
- Vocationally trained and accredited with eligibility to practice independently as a General Practitioner in England
- Current registration with the GMC and appropriate representation with a recognised medical defence organisation; and have never been removed from a performers list for a detrimental reason
- A full, valid UK driving license and access to a car on a daily basis
- Additional medical qualifications
- Previous experience of working within a busy General Practice as a Principal or Salaried GP.
- Accreditation for Family Planning, Child Health Surveillance, or other qualifications and experience relevant to enhanced services.
- An interest in a particular disease area and the willingness to take a leadership role in it;
- Participation and interest in research
- Under/Post graduate GP trainer
