Hours and Contract
- 40 hours per week, 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
- Attendance at INSET days and Open Mornings is required.

Role Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to become a Kitchen Assistant in the catering department at St George's College. The role supports the Head Chef and the Kitchen Team across all aspects of catering delivery, primarily managing the Sandwich Bar and dessert section, serving sandwiches and paninis at lunchtime, and preparing and garnishing food for buffets and other events.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and present items at the Sandwich Bar.
- Set up and cut cakes for the dessert section.
- Serve sandwiches and paninis during lunch.
- Prepare and garnish food for buffets and catering events as required.
- Maintain cleanliness, food hygiene, and health and safety standards in kitchen and storage areas.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records for inspections.
Qualifications and Experience
Desired qualities include a strong work ethic, proactivity, calm and composed disposition. Experience working within a busy team or independently is an advantage. Experience with cleanliness, food hygiene and health and safety standards in a kitchen is required.
