We are recruiting to the post of Senior Sister/Charge Nurse within our In-Patient Unit. We are looking for someone who is able to support and lead a team of staff to provide high quality, evidence-based care. If you are a passionate and committed individual who prides themselves on creating an 'Outstanding' service, then St Gemma's welcomes your application to join our team.
We are looking for someone with:
- The drive and energy to manage an in-patient ward within a specialist setting.
- Excellent communication skills who will proactively model the St Gemma's values and behaviour framework.
- Strong leadership skills and an outstanding track record for service improvement.
- Enthusiasm to maintain a positive and innovative working environment.
As a Senior Sister/Charge Nurse you will be expected to:
- Effectively manage the running of the ward including quality, safety and budgeting.
- Lead on the management of the staff including attendance and performance management, appraisal, support/pastoral care and roster.
- Provide and participate in Clinical Supervision.
- Be an enthusiastic and supportive role model, implementing evidence based practice.
- Work as part of the Hospice team maintaining our CQC Outstanding rating.
