The Pod @ St Frideswides Primary School is looking to appoint an Apprentice Early Years Practitioner to work as part of the Nursery team under the direction of the Manager and supervision of the Lead key-person. You will provide a safe, high quality education and care for children which meets the individual needs of each child attending the nursery setting.
We are a friendly, kind team of staff who would welcome and guide an apprentice to achieve their qualification. Some experience of working or volunteering with young children is desirable; however, full training will be given to the right candidate. This apprentice programme will be led by Best Practice Network.
Functional skills will be compulsory for anyone without a Maths and English GCSE or equivalent at grade C. This will be done alongside the apprentice training programme. This is a term time only position. Salary is paid at the National pay for apprentice staff depending on age and experience starting at £8.00 per hour.
