Are you looking for a meaningful way to spend a few hours every other week? We are looking for a friendly, organised, and reliable Front of House Receptionist to be the warm face and clear voice of our Hospice on Thursday mornings.
As the first point of contact for visitors and callers, you’ll help create a welcoming, smooth-running environment for our patients, families, staff, and supporters.
What You’ll Be Doing
Warm Welcomes: Greeting visitors with a smile, letting staff know their guests have arrived, or directing visitors to the Inpatient Unit (IPU).
Call Handling: Answering telephone enquiries promptly and connecting callers to the right team or taking clear, accurate messages.
Keeping Track: Checking daily diaries at the start of your shift to stay up to date on staff schedules and expected visitors.
Daily Support: Signing for deliveries and processing small payments for Hospice shop items.
What We’re Looking For
Excellent communication skills and a naturally helpful, approachable nature.
A well-presented appearance and a cool head for prioritising tasks when the reception area gets busy.
A commitment to upholding Hospice policies and procedures to keep our community safe and supported.
What We Offer & Essential Info
Training & Support: Full training and ongoing support will be provided—you won't be thrown in at the deep end!
