The Role: Are you an ambitious and passionate media specialist ready to lead an outstanding department? Do you have the vision and expertise to inspire students across both A Level and Vocational Media courses? We are seeking an exceptional Head of Media to drive forward our dynamic and growing media provision. With a recent major investment in cutting-edge camera, lighting, and audio equipment, as well as a brand-new film studio, this is an exciting time to join our college and shape the future of media education.
As Head of Media, you will lead our team in delivering a high-quality curriculum across A Level Media Studies, UAL Level 3 Creative Media Production, T Level Media, Broadcast and Production, and from September, UAL Level 2 Creative Media. You will ensure that our students continue to achieve outstanding results, preparing them for higher education and careers in the media industry. Your role will involve driving innovation in both academic and vocational learning, ensuring all students receive highly relevant, industry-informed teaching and experiences.
This is a full time, permanent role. The salary will be paid on the Sixth Form Colleges' scale NJC scale 1 - 9 (£37,057 - £54,604) + Additional Responsibilities Allowance ranging from RAS1 £2,579- RAS3 £3,610 inclusive of Inner London Weighting. Progression will increase by one scale point each year, subject to satisfactory appraisal outcomes, until scale 9 is reached.
