St Francis Church, Strood is entering an exciting new season of mission and growth, and we are seeking to appoint a Missional Leader – Youth and Young Adults to help shape the next chapter of our life together. Following a period of church revitalisation, this role will build on strong foundations in schools, youth work, and young adult ministry, with a particular focus on discipleship, leadership development, and community engagement.
About the Role
- Local schools – supporting RE, assemblies, and after‑school clubs
- Youth ministry – leading weekly SFS Youth and developing discipleship pathways
- Young adults – growing The Sanctuary into a sustainable worshipping community
- Community initiatives – including oversight of a boxing‑based outreach programme
You will be part of a collaborative staff and leadership team, supported by the Diocese of Rochester, and encouraged to innovate, listen, and respond to the needs of young people in Strood.

- Has experience in youth and/or young adult ministry
- Is relational, creative, and able to work collaboratively
- Is passionate about discipleship, mission, and leadership development
