We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate Specialist EAL Teacher who will plan, prepare and deliver one to one and group lessons to pupils for whom English is an Additional Language.
Set in the midst of Letchworth Garden City, St. Francis' College has been providing a first class education for girls for over 85 years, blending traditional values and a modern vision. Our Early Years provision is co-educational allowing for our youngest pupils to be educated together. At Reception age girls will move onto the Reception class while the boys will be prepared to successfully start their school years at a range of local schools.
St. Francis’ College has been recognised for its outstanding academic results, pastoral support and the extensive range of extracurricular activities available for students. Grade 9 is the most common grade at GCSE and between 10-20% of our students gain places at Oxbridge. As an EAL teacher at St Francis` College we are looking for you to work with our pupils and maximise their potential for learning and help them achieve. You will work with pupils across the college on a 1-2-1 basis and in small groups. You will be delivering high quality EAL teaching that is tailored to meet the needs of the individual pupils.
We are looking for an excellent EAL teacher who:
- Has Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), a CELTA or an equivalent qualification
- Has experience teaching individuals or small groups.
- Has experience of planning and delivering English tuition to non-native learners.
- Has experience of working with children and young people.
- Is able to carry out continuous assessment of pupil`s progress.
