Required for September 2026, the Governors are seeking to appoint a Lead DSL to join our established Safeguarding team. St Francis’ Catholic School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced and qualified Designated Safeguarding lead to support the social, emotional, mental health and well-being of our students. This will include outreach work with families and collaboration with external agencies including Children’s Services and Family Connect. The safeguarding lead will ensure effective day-to-day practice, statutory compliance and strong professional oversight of all safeguarding activity.
Responsibilities
- Lead the safeguarding function and provide professional oversight of safeguarding activity, ensuring statutory compliance and safeguarding best practice.
- Coordinate the dinner supervisory team, manage rotas and ensure lunchtime procedures run smoothly.
- Engage in outreach work with families and collaborate with external agencies including Children’s Services and Family Connect.
