Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young children? We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and nurturing Learning Support Assistant to join our Reception team. This is an exciting opportunity for a practitioner who is committed to helping every child flourish and reach their full potential within a busy, active environment where children are at the heart of everything we do.
The successful candidate will:
- Work closely with the class teacher to support children’s social, emotional, and educational development.
- Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment that promotes children's curiosity and independence.
- Deliver structured, play-based learning activities and interventions, such as phonics or numeracy.
- Support pupils with additional learning needs, providing one-to-one or small group targeted support.
- Assist with personal care, hygiene, and the physical well-being of the children.
- Fulfil midday assistant duties, facilitating games and ensuring a positive experience during break times.
We are looking for someone who:
- Ideally has previous experience working within a Nursery or EYFS setting.
- Demonstrates a sound understanding of child development and effective Early Years pedagogy.
- Is warm, caring, patient, and empathetic.
- Is flexible and able to adapt their approach to meet the individual needs of every child.
- Works effectively as part of a collaborative and supportive team.
- Has strong communication skills to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Is willing to undertake relevant training to further their professional development.
