As one of the UK's fastest-growing private companies, St Ewe Free Range Eggs is entering an exciting phase of growth. We are looking for an ambitious, commercially minded Foodservice Business Development Manager to help drive the next stage of our success. Reporting directly to the Head of Foodservice, this is a high-impact role with significant autonomy, accountability, and the opportunity to shape our future growth strategy.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing existing customer relationships, securing new business opportunities, and expanding our presence across the foodservice sector.
  • Delivering sales growth across the foodservice channel for both shell and liquid egg products.
  • Developing and strengthening relationships with existing foodservice distributors, manufacturers, and key customers to maximise growth opportunities.
  • Identifying, targeting, and securing new business with food manufacturers, distributors, and foodservice operators.
  • Winning and developing key chain accounts across Quick Service Restaurants (QSR), pubs, hotels, leisure, and restaurant sectors.
  • Positioning St Ewe brands as preferred supplier partners through effective relationship management and category leadership.
  • Identifying emerging food, consumer, and market trends to inform commercial strategy and growth opportunities.
  • Working closely with internal teams to identify and support new product development opportunities aligned to customer requirements.
  • Creating and implementing customer-specific promotional plans and initiatives to drive sales and increase market share.
  • Managing contract negotiations, renewals, and commercial agreements.
  • Analysing sales performance, customer data, and market trends to provide accurate forecasting and actionable insights.
  • Supporting operational excellence by working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Representing St Ewe Free Range Eggs at industry events, exhibitions, networking opportunities, and trade shows.
  • Building and maintaining a strong industry network that enhances brand visibility and creates new commercial opportunities.

Skills required:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a sales, account management, or business development role.
  • Proven experience within the food industry, either in branded foodservice, food manufacturing, or FMCG.
  • Strong track record of delivering sales growth and winning new business.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Commercially astute with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Confident negotiator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly self-motivated, resilient, and results-focused.
  • Passionate about food and the foodservice industry.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.

Relevant experience:

  • Existing network within foodservice distributors, manufacturers, or hospitality operators.
  • Experience managing national or key chain accounts.
  • Broad understanding of foodservice market dynamics and industry trends.
  • A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • The ability to identify opportunities and turn them into sustainable commercial success.
  • Energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for building strong partnerships.
  • A collaborative approach with the confidence to work independently and influence across the business.
