We are looking for an ambitious, commercially minded Foodservice Business Development Manager to help drive the next stage of our success. Reporting directly to the Head of Foodservice, this is a high-impact role with significant autonomy, accountability, and the opportunity to shape our future growth strategy.

You will be responsible for developing existing customer relationships, securing new business opportunities, and expanding our presence across the foodservice sector. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with exceptional relationship-building skills, strong commercial acumen, and a passion for food. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be driven by delivering sustainable, profitable growth.

What does success look like?

  • Deliver sales growth across the foodservice channel for both shell and liquid egg products.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with existing foodservice distributors, manufacturers, and key customers to maximise growth opportunities.
  • Identify, target, and secure new business with food manufacturers, distributors, and foodservice operators.
  • Win and develop key chain accounts across Quick Service Restaurants (QSR), pubs, hotels, leisure, and restaurant sectors.
  • Position St Ewe brands as preferred supplier partners through effective relationship management and category leadership.
  • Identify emerging food, consumer, and market trends to inform commercial strategy and growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with internal teams to identify and support new product development opportunities aligned to customer requirements.
  • Create and implement customer-specific promotional plans and initiatives to drive sales and increase market share.
  • Manage contract negotiations, renewals, and commercial agreements.
  • Analyse sales performance, customer data, and market trends to provide accurate forecasting and actionable insights.
  • Support operational excellence by working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Represent St Ewe Free Range Eggs at industry events, exhibitions, networking opportunities, and trade shows.
  • Build and maintain a strong industry network that enhances brand visibility and creates new commercial opportunities.

Skills required

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a sales, account management, or business development role.
  • Proven experience within the food industry, either in branded foodservice, food manufacturing, or FMCG.
  • Strong track record of delivering sales growth and winning new business.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Commercially astute with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Confident negotiator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly self-motivated, resilient, and results-focused.
  • Passionate about food and the foodservice industry.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
  • Existing network within foodservice distributors, manufacturers, or hospitality operators.
  • Experience managing national or key chain accounts.
  • Broad understanding of foodservice market dynamics and industry trends.
  • A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • The ability to identify opportunities and turn them into sustainable commercial success.
  • Energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for building strong partnerships.
