We are looking for a Restaurant and Bar Manager to join the team here at St Ermin’s Hotel. This role will be ideal for someone currently working as as Assistant Restaurant and Bar manager who is ready to step up and take on more responsibility in one of the Caterers Best Places to work that is all about the fun , love , and energy . As Restaurant and Bar Manager , reporting directly into our F&B Director, you will be the key managerial presence for both the F&B team and guests in the daily running of our F&B outlets including the restaurant, bar, and tea lounge.
Responsible for ensuring the team deliver an exceptional guest experience, maintaining excellence in operational standards and developing all F&B team members to ensure seamless and personal service throughout.
The Restaurant and Bar Manager strives to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction, maximizing financial performance in their areas of responsibility. You will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for developing team, maximising their personal strengths to create a culture of excellence with guest experience at the forefront of everything we do.
What will you be doing?
- Become a role model, promoting the St Ermin’s Values (Teamwork, Communication, Respect, Learning & Passion ) at all times
- Drive effective departmental communication through handovers, department meetings and daily briefings
- Ensure the service team is fully trained and confident with the outlets policies and standards
- Responsible for ensuring all company policies and procedures are adhered to by the team at all times
- Take ownership of managing the team on a daily basis, completing probationary reviews, and managing lateness or employee requests
- Support the F&B Managers in efficiently managing the payroll of the department
- Become the point of escalation for handling guest complaints, ensuring they are dealt with in a discreet, respectful and confident manner, taking ownership for a positive outcome
- Ensuring the team are able to deliver prompt and friendly customer service
- Maintain quality and service standards
- Understand the importance of educating team members about potential food allergies in line with current and future legislation
- Support the F&B managers to ensure all staff are knowledgeable about menu offerings and individual ingredients.

Provide continuous guidance to the team whilst on shift regarding how we might exceed guests’ expectations
