TheRole
Keeping ourhotel running smoothly is vital to our guest's experience
As a multiskilled maintenance engineer you will be responsible for maintaining thefunctionality, safety and appearance of the hotel.
This roleinvolves carrying out a multitude of tasks including, but not limited totiling, plastering, carpentry, plumbing and electrical works as well as moreroutine maintenance repairs. We are looking for an enthusiastic engineer who iscompetent in a wide variety of engineering skills.
Experienceworking within a hotel environment is beneficial.
Withnaturally high standards to support our own, you’ll approach every task withdevotion and pride.
Nuts& Bolts of the Job!
- Essential skills to include plastering, tiling and carpentry
- General skills to include electrical and plumbing works
- Respond promptly to guest repairs and communicate effectively toresolve problems.
- Ensure fixtures and fittings, appliances and equipment are alwayssafe and operational.
- Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities, identifying anyfaults or potential hazards
- Awareness of health and safety regulations and yourresponsibilities
- Live up to high safety standards – follow guidelines and tell yoursupervisor about any incidents, dangerous conditions or unsafe equipment
- Take responsibility for the safety and cleanliness of areas insideand outside the hotel.
- Always keep an eye out for improvements – follow the preventativemaintenance calendar and keep everything working and efficient at alltimes.
- Be a friendly face and helping hand to our guests
- Keep accurate maintenance records and report any major issues tomanagement
- To take on extra duties as and when the team needs you
- Flexibility to work 5 out of 7 days, including early(8:00am–4:30pm) or late shifts (1:30pm–10:00pm) during the week and atweekends.
