We are looking for a proactive and results driven Event Sales Manager to join the team here at St Ermin’s Hotel, as we prepare for an exciting relaunch of our Meeting & Event spaces. To be eligible for this role, you will:
- Have 2 years work experience in events sales or hotel sales in London or similar market.
- Be self‑motivated, results‑driven, and confident working autonomously.
- Be able to steer high level client meetings if necessary.
- Be of sound judgement and good character.
- Have excellent communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills, primarily in English.
- Have an established network within corporate, agency, or events sectors (preferred).
- Proficient in working with MS office & related Apps, especially EXCEL, Word & PowerPoint.
- Be confident in working with AI agents.

- Be a team player.

As an Event Sales Manager you will be responsible for driving the hotel’s business development strategy while managing key accounts across local and national corporate meeting planners, as well as engaging with the wider MICE agency sector and inbound Destination Management Companies.
What will you be doing?
- Develop and maintain relationships with key corporate clients, event agencies, and repeat bookers.
- Develop and execute a pro‑active sales strategy to generate new M&E business across different segments (Events, conferences, restaurant reservations, corporate groups).
- Identify market opportunities within Westminster, Victoria and wider area and position the hotel as a leading choice for meetings and events.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline, ensuring consistent conversion & revenue growth.
- Act as the primary contact for high‑value and strategic agency accounts.
- Lead negotiations and secure contracts for high‑value business.
- Drive account growth through proactive engagement, upselling, and long‑term partnership development.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and site visits onsite and off‑site, to showcase the hotel’s event spaces and facilities.
- Work with the in‑house teams to ensure a seamless transition of confirmed events to the operational team.
- Drive revenue through business development, identifying new leads, networking at events and exhibitions.
- Achieving the monthly sales targets for meeting & events and groups.
- Regularly organise site visits and familiarisation trips at the hotel, for repeat clients and new ones to showcase the hotel.
- Attend tradeshows and industry events.
- Organise road shows targeting various segments of the industry that will help grow the event business.
- Compile accurate month‑end reports and review reports when necessary.
- Cross‑sell Food & Beverage facilities at the hotel to local corporate & residential audiences.
- Support the Assistant Director of Sales where needed & perform any other reasonable requests.
