Location: St Elizabeth's Centre, Much Hadham, Hertfordshire

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm

Salary: £26,706 - £28,446 per annum (£13.70 - £14.59 hourly)

About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive, personable and highly organised Administration Officer to join our Adult Learning team. This is a key front-facing role supporting the day-to-day operations within our Adult Learning Team – a busy, welcoming environment where no two days are quite the same. You’ll be the first point of contact for families, colleagues, and visitors, providing high-quality administrative and front-of-house support. Your ability to stay calm under pressure, juggle tasks and communicate clearly will be essential.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide efficient and professional admin support to the Adult Learning Team
  • Greet visitors and respond to enquiries with warmth, clarity and professionalism
  • Manage meeting arrangements, take minutes and circulate documentation
  • Maintain accurate internal systems, files and records
  • Liaise confidently with staff across departments and external stakeholders
  • Ensure systems and databases are kept up to date and accurate

About You

You’re a natural problem-solver who thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in being reliable, approachable and efficient.

  • Previous experience in a busy administrative or front-desk role
  • Strong IT skills – confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills

  • Confident communicator with a professional and friendly attitude
  • Able to work independently and as part of a supportive team
  • A driving licence is desirable due to our rural location
