About the Role
As a Retail Manager, you will provide flexible support to our teams, working alongside a dedicated team of volunteers to deliver excellent customer service to ensure everything runs smoothly when cover is needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the daily shop operations, including opening/closing, cash handling and stock management
- Provide a warm and welcoming environment for customers, reflecting our values in all interactions
- Assist in driving sales and achieving shop targets
- Maintain high standards of merchandising, presentation and stock rotation
- Help recruit, train and motivate volunteers
- Step up to lead the shop in the Manager's absence
- Ensure compliance with charity policies, retail standards and health & safety regulations
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Proactive - able to use initiative and work independently when required
- Approachable - friendly, supportive and confident working with volunteers and customers
- Flexible - happy to work on an as-and-when basis, adapting to the needs of the shop
- Organised and reliable, with a commitment to excellent customer service
- Previous retail or charity shop experience is desirable, but full training will be provided
