Build confidence. Unlock potential. Help every learner thrive.
Some young people need more than classroom support. They need someone who understands them. Someone who can provide consistency, encouragement and belief when things feel difficult.
At St Elizabeth's School, you'll be that person. Because when a young person feels understood, they have a better chance to thrive.
Whether you're experienced in SEN education, support work, care, youth work, psychology, therapy support or another people-focused role, this is an opportunity to make a genuine impact while building a rewarding career in specialist education.
No two days are the same, but every day you will help a young person achieve something they may not have thought possible.

Who We're Looking For
We're interested in the person as much as your experience.
You may already work in:
- SEN education
- Special schools
- Residential childcare
- Social care
- Support work
- Healthcare
- Youth work
- Psychology or therapy support
Or perhaps you're looking for a career where your patience, resilience and compassion can truly make a difference.
You'll be:
- Calm and confident under pressure
- Passionate about helping young people succeed
- Patient, caring and emotionally resilient
- A strong team player
- Comfortable providing personal care when required
- Keen to learn and develop professionally
About the Role
This isn't a typical classroom support role. As a Behaviour Learning Support Assistant, you'll work closely with a small number of pupils, often providing 2:1 support, helping them feel settled, engaged and ready to take part in their day.
Our learners may experience challenges with communication, emotional regulation or behaviour. Your role will be to provide the consistency, structure and encouragement they need to navigate those challenges safely and positively.
You'll get to know each learner as an individual - what they enjoy, what helps them feel comfortable, what can be difficult for them and how best to support them.
You'll work alongside teachers, therapists and other professionals to put agreed strategies into practice and help create an environment where learners can develop their confidence and independence.
It's about understanding what someone needs, not simply reacting to what they do.
What this role involves (important to know)
This role includes supporting pupils who may:
- Find communication and engagement challenging.
- Experience difficulties with emotional regulation.
- Require consistent, structured, and sometimes intensive support.
You'll need to be resilient, calm under pressure, and confident in supporting behaviour in a safe and positive way - full training will be provided.
What you'll be doing
- Providing dedicated 2:1 support to pupils throughout the school day
- Supporting learners to engage in education, build confidence and develop independence.
- Using agreed strategies to support emotional regulation and behaviour
- Helping to maintain a calm, structured, and predictable environment
- Supporting transitions between activities and throughout the day
- Working closely with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored support
- Providing personal care where required, with dignity and respect.
- Contributing to a team that celebrates progress - big and small.
About You
You don't need previous school experience - but you do need the right mindset.
We're looking for someone who is:
- Calm, patient and emotionally resilient.
- Confident working with children who need additional support.
- A strong team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Willing to provide personal care when required.
- Motivated to learn, develop, and make a genuine difference.
Why work for St Elizabeth's?
You'll be joining a supportive, values-led organisation where your work truly matters.
We offer:
- Term-time only working - enjoy school holidays off.
- Supportive working hours:
- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 8:30am - 4:00pm
- Tuesday: 8:30am - 5:00pm

- Full training and ongoing development opportunities
- £500 Recommend a Friend bonus (T&Cs apply)
- Free on-site parking
- Discounted meals in our on-site café
- Paid enhanced DBS.
- A beautiful countryside working environment.
- Opportunities to progress within education, care, and therapy services.
