Bring learning to life. Build confidence. Make an impact.
At St Elizabeths, learning and development isnt just about completing training.
Its about giving people the skills, knowledge and confidence to make a genuine difference to the children, young people and adults we support every day.
Were looking for an experienced, engaging and hands-on Learning & Development Advisor to join us for an initial six-month period.
And were flexible about what that could look like.
Full-time? Great. Part-time? Lets talk. Experienced L&D consultant looking for your next assignment? Wed like to hear from you too.
This opportunity is open to both internal and external applicants.
This is L&D where you can see the impact
This is an on-site role, and thats important to us.
Youll be working alongside the people delivering our education, care and health services understanding what they need, responding to real challenges and creating learning that makes a difference in practice.
One day you might be delivering an engaging induction session to new starters. The next, you could be working with a manager to identify a learning need, reviewing compliance, developing new training content or facilitating a practical workshop.
Its varied. Its people-focused. And you wont be stuck doing the same thing every day.
What will you get involved in?
Youll have the opportunity to:

  • Deliver engaging mandatory, refresher and developmental learning across St Elizabeths.
  • Facilitate face-to-face and blended learning for colleagues in a wide variety of roles.
  • Deliver areas such as Safeguarding, First Aid, Manual Handling and Health & Safety, where appropriately qualified.
  • Work directly with managers and teams to understand learning needs and turn them into practical solutions.
  • Support learning compliance across our regulated services, including CQC, Ofsted and HSE requirements.
  • Help develop learning resources, systems and training records.
  • Evaluate whats working, challenge what isnt and bring forward new ideas.
  • Play an active part in building a culture where learning, development and continuous improvement are part of everyday life.

What could you bring?
Were not looking for someone who simply delivers slides.
Were looking for someone who can engage a room, adapt to different audiences, build relationships and make learning relevant.
Youll ideally have:

  • Experience designing and delivering training, workshops or learning programmes.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
  • The confidence to work with colleagues and managers at all levels.
  • Experience using Learning Management Systems and digital learning tools.
  • Strong organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Experience within health, social care, education or another regulated environment.
  • A recognised training qualification, CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience.

Above all, youll bring energy, credibility and a genuine passion for helping people develop.
Why St Elizabeths?
Based in Much Hadham, Hertfordshire, St Elizabeths is a specialist organisation providing education, care, health and support services to children, young people and adults with complex needs.
Our site brings together an incredible range of services and professionals meaning L&D here has genuine variety and reach.
Youll be joining an organisation where you can see the people youre supporting, understand the services youre developing learning for and see the difference great training can make.
And although this is initially a six-month opportunity, youll have plenty of scope to get involved, bring ideas and leave your mark.
Sound like your kind of opportunity?
Whether youre looking for your next full-time role, something part-time, an internal development opportunity or a six-month consultancy assignment, wed love to hear from you.
External applicants: Submit your CV and complete our online application form.
Internal colleagues: Wed really encourage you to apply, and were happy to have an informal conversation about the opportunity.
Well review applications as they arrive, so we may close the vacancy early if we find the right person.
Inclusion & Safeguarding
At St Elizabeths, we celebrate diversity and are proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and recognised as an Investor in People.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. Appointment will be subject to appropriate pre-employment checks, including satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check where applicable. xiskglj
