Change lives. At St Elizabeths, we don’t just provide care; we create homes where children and young people feel safe, valued and inspired to thrive. We are a specialist centre supporting children and young people with epilepsy, autism and other complex needs. From our unique 60-acre site in Much Hadham, we bring together education, health, therapy and residential care to deliver truly holistic support and we are now looking for an exceptional Registered Manager to lead one of our Ofsted-registered residential homes.
As Registered Manager, you will be the Ofsted-registered leader of one of our children’s homes, setting the tone, culture and standards for outstanding care. You will lead a dedicated, multidisciplinary team to create a nurturing, aspirational home where children feel secure, supported and empowered to grow. This is a role for someone who wants to build something special and understands that outstanding care is felt in everyday moments, not just inspection outcomes.
- Hold full Ofsted registration and legal accountability for a children’s home
- Lead, inspire and develop teams to deliver consistently outstanding care
- Ensure excellence in safeguarding, quality standards and regulatory compliance
- Manage budgets, staffing and resources to deliver best-value, high-quality care
- Build strong partnerships with families, local authorities and internal services
You are a confident, compassionate leader who believes children deserve more than good enough. You bring both professional credibility and emotional intelligence, with the ability to inspire teams and lead through challenge and change.
- Proven experience managing an Ofsted-registered children’s home
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, legislation and quality frameworks
- A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
- Excellent communication, organisational and relationship-building skills
Most importantly, you share our belief that every child deserves a joyful, ambitious and compassionate place to call home. We value our leaders and invest in their wellbeing and development.
