Our specialist Sixth Form provides a unique and highly personalised learning environment for young people aged 16–19 with learning difficulties, disabilities, epilepsy, and autism. About the Role
We are seeking a creative and committed SEN Teacher to join our growing Sixth Form team. You will lead a small class group of learners with complex needs, delivering engaging and personalised learning that supports both academic achievement and personal development. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach with purpose in a nurturing and well-resourced environment where every milestone matters. What You’ll Do
- Deliver tailored and engaging teaching across a range of abilities and learning needs
- Support learners to develop independence, communication, and life skills alongside academic outcomes
- Work collaboratively with Learning Support Assistants, therapists, and families
- Create a positive, structured, and motivating learning environment
- Monitor, assess, and celebrate learner progress and achievement
- Contribute to EHCP outcomes and person-centred planning
About You
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Passion for supporting young people with additional needs
- Experience working with learners with SEND, ideally within a post-16 setting
- Creative, adaptable, and nurturing approach to teaching
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
