Salary: Up to £36,672.73 per annum (dependent on experience)

What you'll be doing: As a Vocational Assessor, you'll guide learners through their qualification journey, helping them build confidence, competence and professional skills. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assessing knowledge and competence-based qualifications through workplace observations, professional discussions and portfolio evidence.
• Providing supportive, constructive feedback that helps learners develop.
• Managing your own learner caseload and planning assessments effectively.
• Monitoring learner progress to ensure timely achievement.
• Building positive relationships with managers to support workforce development.
• Maintaining accurate assessment records and awarding body compliance.
• Supporting quality assurance activities.
• Delivering learning sessions where appropriate.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same, and where you'll spend your time supporting real people in a real working environment.

About you: Essential Recognised Assessor qualification (A1, CAVA or equivalent), Experience assessing vocational qualifications within Health & Social Care, Residential Childcare or Education, Excellent communication and coaching skills, Ability to confidently assess workplace competence, Strong organisational skills and the ability to effectively manage your own caseload, Passion for developing others.

Desirable: Internal Quality Assurance qualification (or willingness to work towards with employer support), Experience within residential childcare, specialist education or learning disability services, Experience delivering training or facilitating learning.
