The successful applicants will have a willingness to support young adults using person-centred care to achieve their goals, plan activities, and, where appropriate, encourage and enable independence and self-management skills.
While ensuring that young adults enjoy a fun and comfortable stay, you will be required to assist in complex physical care and support.
You must have at least one year\’s experience working in care, with full training provided to ensure you are competent and confident in supporting young adults with complex care needs.

We are recruiting Care Assistants to provide holistic, person-centred care and support to young adults accessing Zest care at St Elizabeth Hospice. This could include short breaks, Zest days, and groups. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Zest service at St Elizabeth Hospice, your local hospice at the heart of the community, and to be part of something special happening in Suffolk.
Established in 1989, the hospice has built a reputation for delivering high-level care to patients and the community it serves. Through medicine and therapy, we ease pain, give life purpose, and make life livable. Last year, the charity supported over 4,000 patients and their families.
Hours: Part-time, 7.5 hours per week, Friday 9 am to 5 pm (with the option to work additional bank hours over weekends).
St Elizabeth Hospice is committed to safeguarding and protecting the adults and young people we work with and has a zero-tolerance approach to abuse, neglect, and discrimination.
