St Elizabeth Hospice is looking to recruit enthusiastic and flexible team members to support young adults living with progressive illness and complex health care needs accessing Zest at St Elizabeth Hospice, including short breaks, Zest days and groups. As a bank Zest Registered Nurse, we will call you to offer occasional shifts, predominantly Fridays and weekends. This may be planned or at short notice, for a full shift or as ad hoc additional hours, so flexibility and commitment is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Assume the role of shift coordinator, leading the short break care of up to three young adults staying for the weekend at the hospice, ensuring their health and care needs are met, recognising and responding to changes, supervising care assistants and delegating tasks appropriately.
• Support young adults during their short break stay to achieve their goals and plan weekend activities.
• Be able to understand and recognise individual developmental needs, where appropriate encouraging and enabling independence and self‑management skills.

Training:

Training will be provided to ensure you are competent and confident to support young adults with complex care needs.
