We are now seeking a skilled, enthusiastic and innovative Teacher of Computing and Creative Technologies to deliver high‑quality teaching across Key Stages 2 to 4. Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, ambitious and inclusive lessons in computing and creative technologies across Key Stages 2 to 4.
- Design and implement a broad curriculum including coding, robotics, E‑Sports, digital media and computational thinking.
- Promote digital literacy, online safety and responsible digital citizenship as part of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
- Act as Online Safety Lead, working with the Safeguarding Team to embed safe digital practices across the school.
- Contribute to the school's digital strategy and promote innovative uses of technology in teaching and learning.
- Support enrichment opportunities such as STEM clubs, robotics, e‑sports or creative digital projects.
- Establish positive, trusting relationships with pupils, using consistent and trauma‑informed approaches to support behaviour and engagement.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment, working closely with colleagues, families, and external partners to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
- Carry out professional duties of a qualified teacher, in line with the Teachers' Standards.
Qualifications
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in computing, ICT or a related field.
- Has strong subject knowledge across computing and creative technology disciplines.
- Is confident in teaching coding, robotics and digital creativity.
- Understands the importance of digital literacy, online safety and safeguarding.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom practice and the ability to deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
- Has experience working with pupils with SEMH needs.
- Communicates calmly, clearly, and empathetically, modelling resilience and consistency.
- Is enthusiastic about innovation, technology and creative learning.
- Thrives as part of a supportive, committed team.
