If you are passionate about the Arts and enjoy working with young people and organising creative projects and activities, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role at The North Wall Arts Centre. The North Wall is an arts centre in Oxford, situated on the grounds of St. Edward's School, and was established in 2006 to bring together artists and audiences from Oxford and beyond to make, share and experience art of the highest quality.

The Participation Associate will support the organisation's work with young people and community groups, providing administrative support and supporting the practical delivery of The North Wall's work with schools, colleges, young people, families, the local community and early-career artists.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinating creative projects and workshops for schools, young people and community groups
  • Supporting the delivery of arts events, showcases and festivals
  • Liaising with freelance artists, participants and partner organisations
  • Managing project administration, bookings, communications and feedback
  • Helping run participation programmes that encourage creativity and engagement in the arts
  • Representing The North Wall at community and education events
  • Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of youth and community arts activity

This is a casual, part time role, with no core hours. The number of working hours will vary. This is a fixed term contract until 31st August 2027. It may be renewed for future terms by mutual agreement.

To be considered for this role you will need some administrative experience and experience of using Microsoft Word and Excel, with a personal interest in the arts, and an understanding of the ideals and goals of an arts organisation. Experience of working in a busy public facing role is equally important.
