The role St Edward's Oxford is seeking an experienced HR professional who is passionate about supporting people and developing a positive workplace culture.
The school is open to appointing either a Senior HR Advisor or a HR Manager, depending on the experience and suitability of the successful candidate. In either role, you will be an integral part of the HR team and the wider school community, providing a comprehensive generalist HR service that covers HR operations, employee relations and absence management.
Senior HR Advisor Responsibilities- You will provide operational HR support across the school, advise managers on employee relations and people management issues, lead HR projects and support the implementation of HR initiatives.
- You will oversee the delivery of HR services, collaborate closely with senior leadership and departmental managers to support effective people management and drive improvements in HR practices and processes.
You will be CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards this) and bring prior HR experience, including managing employee relations issues and offering HR advisory support to managers. For those who wish to apply for the HR Manager role, experience in leading HR projects is also desirable. A strong working knowledge of employment law, experience of developing and reviewing HR policies and a thorough understanding of employee relations processes such as disciplinary, grievance, absence and capability are essential. Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook are also required.
