St Edward’s Oxford is seeking a well‑organised and proactive Receptionist to play a vital role in the smooth and effective running of our Health Centre. With over 800 pupils living across 13 boarding houses, the Health Centre sits at the heart of school life and is staffed by a dedicated multidisciplinary healthcare team committed to delivering the highest standard of care.
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for all visitors and enquiries to the Health Centre, whether in person, by telephone or electronically. The role involves managing workflows and documentation, ensuring medical correspondence and requests are processed accurately and promptly, recording new pupil medical information on iSAMs and coordinating Health Centre appointments. You will also provide essential administrative support to clinical staff and the wider nursing team, enabling them to deliver outstanding care to our students.
This role is a part‑time, job share opportunity, working 25.5 hours per week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8am to 5pm during academic terms (approximately 34 weeks per year).
About you
We are looking for someone with an excellent telephone manner, highly developed IT skills and the ability to prioritise your work effectively within a fast‑paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is previous experience in a customer‑facing or public‑facing role. You will need to be highly organised, can demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing a professional and caring service to members of our school community.
