This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to play a key role delivering an outstanding arrival experience for visitors and members of the school community at St. Edwards newly built Gatehouse entrance.

The Role

As the School Receptionist, you will welcome visitors in a warm and professional manner that reflects the high standards of the school, whilst maintaining a secure and hospitable environment, ensuring all visitors are signed in according to safeguarding and security protocols.

You will oversee the smooth operation of visitor management procedures, working closely with senior staff, security, admin and external relations teams to manage access efficiently for a variety of visitors. These will include parents, prospective families, VIPs and all other stakeholders.

As well as greeting and providing access to visitors, you will respond to various telephone enquiries and be responsible for managing and maintaining the reception area.

About You

In this Front of House role, you will directly influence first impressions of the School and contribute to the overall experience of all visitors, therefore excellent customer service skills and the ability to create a welcoming and positive environment are essential.

You will be upholding and enhancing the Schools reputation through your exceptional professional conduct and guest service skills, and will need proven experience in a similar hospitality, customer service or senior administration role.

Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office package, a practical knowledge of GDPR and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion is equally important.
