This is an opportunity to share your passion for German language and culture, acquire and develop teaching skills, and experience life at a leading independent school.
As a German Language Assistant, you will play a key role communicating your enthusiasm for the German language and German culture to individual and small groups of pupils in the sixth form at St. Edwards. You will conduct speaking classes and make a significant contribution outside the timetable to the school's extra-curricular activities, such as trips to Christmas markets in Germany and Berlin.
The ability to speak entirely fluently in German is essential, as is knowledge of German speaking countries in order to bring cultural familiarity and awareness to the role and to share this with pupils. Experience of working within a classroom environment is equally important.
This is a temporary contract, from August 2025 to August 2026 (exact dates to be confirmed).
