About the Role

We’re looking for an organised and enthusiastic Events & Communications Assistant to support exciting events and develop engaging content for the wider school community, consisting of former pupils and parents of current pupils. You will be part of St Edwards Schools small, high-performing, friendly and ambitious fundraising team, providing support with administration, communications and event support. This will include:

  • Organising and supporting events - helping plan and run events for alumni, parents, and the wider school community
  • Managing communications - creating newsletters, social media, and website content aimed at alumni and parent audiences
  • Admin tasks - responding to enquiries from community members, alumni, and stakeholders
  • Maintaining data - keeping records up to date for alumni, supporters, and contacts in the CRM system
  • Supporting the team - assisting with projects that build engagement and fundraising across the schools community network

Whilst you are working in this role, time will be given for training and development. This is a fixed-term contract for an initial period of 12 months, but it may be renewed for future terms by mutual agreement.

About You

This role is ideal for someone looking to start their career in events and communications, or equally somebody who is interested in changing their career. You will be organised, proactive, people-oriented, and keen to learn about events, communications, and fundraising. You will also need to be educated to A-Level standard or equivalent.
