The Governors are seeking to appoint a dedicated First Aid Administrator who will support students, staff and visitors requiring first aid. The postholder will assess first aid problems presented by students and staff, take appropriate first aid action in the event of any emergency, and communicate with staff and parents as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Assess and provide first aid to students, staff and visitors in emergency situations.
- Record all first aid and medical incidents in the academy’s software tracking system.
- Communicate with staff and parents following incidents.
- Undertake continuing professional development as a first aider, including medical and pastoral training.
- Participate in annual appraisals.
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of all children in accordance with the Trust’s and Academy’s safeguarding policies.
Qualifications
- Computer literate and experienced with incident‑tracking software.
- Current first aid qualifications and a commitment to ongoing training.
- Knowledge of safeguarding policies and child protection procedures.
- Good communication skills with staff, parents and third parties.
