St Edmund’s College is seeking to appoint an outstanding, motivated and innovative Teacher of Spanish to join our successful Modern Foreign Languages Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional to contribute to a high-performing team within a forward-thinking school.

The successful candidate will

  • Deliver high-quality Spanish teaching across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
  • Plan and deliver lessons rooted in HPL principles, promoting deep thinking, independence and academic resilience.
  • Contribute to a collaborative departmental culture focused on continuous improvement and outstanding outcomes.
  • Assess, track and report on student progress to ensure every learner achieves their full potential.
  • Participate in wider school life and contribute to co-curricular language opportunities.

  • Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and excellent pedagogical practice.

  • Works effectively as part of a team and communicates clearly with students, colleagues and parents.

The post will involve close contact with, and a high degree of responsibility for, children and young adults. The majority of this will be regulated activity and as such an enhanced DBS check (which includes children’s barred list information) will be required in advance of appointment.
