The Governors of St. Edmund’s School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking and committed person to join our team as a Teaching and Learning Assistant. The post is a fixed one-year contract to 31st August 2026. The TLA post is for 32.50 hours per week paid at Scale 4, point 7 £22,926.33 per annum.
The successful candidate for the post should:
- Have experience of following instructions and delivering provision set out within section F of an EHCP or be willing to receive support, training and advice to do so.
- Have experience working 1:1 with students or in small groups and show ability to work creatively.
- Be flexible and have a cheerful disposition.
- Have an awareness of ASD/ADHD if possible.
- Be TEEAM teach trained or be prepared to carry out ‘safer-handling’ after relevant training.
- Be willing to administer intimate care if required.
- Be willing and able to support across all year groups.
- Assist with supervision of child/ren in class, between classes and during breaks.
- Prepare and ensure resources are available to support learning.
- Have a minimum NVQ Level 3 Childcare qualification.
