We are looking for an enthusiastic and strongly motivated individual to join our experienced team providing intensive specialist support for pupils and students.
We seek an Occupational Therapist who wants to develop their career, skills and knowledge in a specialist educational setting.
St Dominic’s School is a special school in Surrey catering to pupils and Sixth Form students aged 7 to 19, supporting a diverse range of academic abilities and complex needs.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the Occupational Therapy provision across the waking day curriculum.
- Accountable as a member of a multi‑disciplinary team for pupil outcomes.
- Maintain and improve school standards.
- Ensure pupils have the fullest possible access to the whole curriculum.
- Help pupils achieve their full potential and further their holistic development, including functional life skills.
Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent with licence to practice.
- Member of the College of Occupational Therapists.
- Member of the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Post‑graduate qualification and experience in Sensory Integration, Levels1&2.
- Understanding of a wide range of physical, perceptual and sensory difficulties associated with ASD, SLCN and associated behaviours.
- Knowledge of a range of standardised and functional assessment tools relevant to the client group.
