Salary : Grade R3 Scale point 17 – R4 Scale point 24, plus Responsibility Allowance for delivering Music lessons

FTE : £28,840 – £31,482 per annum (Actual : £22,294.70 – £24,337.09 per annum), depending on experience.

Location : St Dominic’s School, Hambledon, Nr Godalming, Surrey GU8 4DX.

Working Pattern : 32.5 hours per week, Term Time only.

St Dominic’s School is a well-known and highly regarded special school in Surrey and stands in 56 acres of wooded grounds with ample space for recreational and outdoor learning activities. The school caters for up to 150 pupils and Sixth Form students between the ages of 7 – 19, who have a range of academic abilities and complex needs. It is owned and run by Orchard Hill College Academy Trust.

We offer access to an extensive range of GCSE subjects pitched at individual students’ levels. Within the Sixth Form, students are able to access external college placements as part of their personalised holistic education and therapy provision.

The School has an in‑house team of qualified therapists offering Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Sensory Integration. The range of therapeutic support available to pupils and students enables them to access the curriculum at an appropriate level, maximising each individual’s potential for achievement. Additionally, there are purpose‑built medical facilities where nursing cover is provided on a daily basis by qualified staff.

The School has achieved Advanced Autism Accreditation, the prestigious Arts Council ‘Artsmark’ Silver Award and holds the National Healthy Schools status.

High Level Teaching Assistant – Music

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated High Level Teaching Assistant with special interest in music. You will play a pivotal role in delivering high‑quality music education across Key Stages 2 and 3, fostering a love for music, and encouraging every pupil to reach their full musical potential. You will be responsible for inspiring pupils with diverse musical interests, offering a range of musical opportunities, and contributing to the school’s wider commitment to inclusive, accessible, and culturally diverse music provision. You will give support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement.
