OOH Veterinary Surgeon at Exonia Veterinary Emergency Service, Exeter – Up to £70,000 (prorated) DOE
The Exonia Veterinary Emergency Service (EVES) was set up in August 2013 with the aim of offering local and affordable small animal emergency services to practices in and around Exeter and South and East Devon. We have had an experienced vet and nurse on site every night since then and have saved the lives of thousands of pets during this time. With a varied case load in emergency care, we often receive unique and unusual cases creating an opportunity to utilise surgical abilities.
EVES are searching for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their Out of Hours team on a one week on and two week off rota pattern:
Week 1: 4x Nights (Mon-Thurs 6:45pm-8am)
Week 2 and 3: Off
Week 4: 3x Nights (Fri-Sun 6:45pm-8am)
Week 5 and 6: Off
This rota equates to 61 shifts per year, the successful candidate also has the option of adding Sunday shifts to the contract.
The successful candidate will work with a team of skilled team of vets and vet nurses who are passionate about animal care are dedicated to providing the highest quality care.
You will be experienced and confident in emergency surgery and sole charge, you will be working with an experienced OOH RVN. Ideally, you will have had an exposure to a varied caseload and have a keen interest in developing knowledge further – we have industry leading CPD available!
