Overview
St.
David's C of E Primary School are seeking a dedicated and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team.
This is a permanent position working 12.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.
Working pattern to be discussed at interview.
Salary: NJC Grade E: £30,518 - £33,699 FTE (paid pro-rata to reflect hours and weeks worked).
The pro-rata salary for this role is between £8,829 (E16) and £9,749 (E22) gross per annum (subject to change depending on agreed working pattern on appointment).
- Role and Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities to individuals, groups and whole classes.
- Support teachers by helping create an engaging learning environment and preparing resources.
- Monitor, assess and record pupils’ progress, providing detailed feedback and evidence.
- Lead small-group interventions and support delivery of literacy, numeracy and other curriculum strategies.
- Contribute to out-of-school learning activities as required.
- What We’re Looking For
Essential qualities include
- Experience working with children across key stages.
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant or Cover Supervisor delivering whole-class activities.
- English and Maths qualifications at minimum GCSE level.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
Desirable (but not essential)
- Previous HLTA experience.
- Willingness to undertake relevant training.
- First Aid qualification.
- Awareness of health and safety practices.
