Purpose of the role

As Faculty Leader for Expressive Arts, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across the faculty, ensuring excellence in teaching, learning, student achievement, behaviour and personal development. You will lead and inspire colleagues, shape a clear vision for the faculty, drive curriculum design, staff development, performance monitoring and secure strong outcomes for all pupils. You will play a key role in whole‑school improvement, working closely with senior leaders to advance teaching and learning priorities and ensure the faculty contributes fully to the life of the school.

  • Proven leadership experience and ability to motivate, inspire and develop others.
  • Deep understanding of curriculum development, assessment and raising achievement across KS3 and KS4.
  • Ability to analyse performance data effectively and implement successful improvement strategies.
  • Strategic leadership across multiple subject areas within Expressive Arts.
  • Commitment to inclusion, ensuring all pupils access a rich and ambitious curriculum.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, working effectively with staff, pupils, parents and stakeholders.
